Newark Unified is participating in the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) this school year.
CHKS is an anonymous, confidential survey of school climate and safety, student wellness, and youth resiliency. It is administered to students at grades five, seven, nine, and eleven. It enables schools and communities to collect and analyze data regarding local youth health risks and behaviors, school connectedness, school climate, protective factors, and school violence.
Please contact your student’s school office directly to obtain access to the parent/guardian survey; follow this link to learn more about CHKS: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/he/at/chks.asp.
The Course Catalog for next year is available for download. Be sure to check the catalog for all the details on checking classes for next year.
The Newark Unified School District Young Authors Program and Newark Betterment Corporation present our 2019 Young Authors event with guest book artist Shawn Harris.
